Kaelyn's First Haircut at the Salon

Brought kaelyn to Jeff's for her first haircut. Deliberated for a while before we decided to snipe her fringe. She cooperated and behaved herself well -sitting quietly on my lap - until Jeff took a bottle of spray over.

The end product - She's now irresistibly cute! The bang accentuates her cheeks, making her our little "Xiao Pang".

Walking on her own @ 13.5 mth

Kaelyn So is enjoying her newfound freedom - walking! Loves the way she tries to balance herself when walking and hurling her body towards mine when she reaches me. Both of us never fail to end up giggling and laughing whenever she did that. Such Joy!

Cutie pie is walking on her own! Bit by bit. She likes to walk around the house with her push-push and prefers to hold your fingers to walk. She is able to maneuver her push-push well, lifting and shifting it to reach the place she wants to go. She will also steer you towards the direction that she wants to go if you are helping her to walk.
She exceptionally likes it if you 'walk' her outside. This will definitely bring on huge smiles on her face.

Keagan - the lion prince.

The SLL - The Super Lazy Lion - Hierachy is vey clear. The lioness are at the bottom and the lion at the top. So lazy/arrogant is this lion that it refuses to eat the poultry that was thrown to it unless it was delivered/thrown right in front of it. The zookeeper was successful on his third attempt (note the poultry behind the lion). Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

Princess Kaelyn enjoyed herself too. Making all the sound to show her excitement when we showed her the flamingo, macaw, polar bear and lion.

Keagan's Milestone - Graduating Ceremony @ JCK

JCK is simply amazing! The musical put up by the K2 pupils had impressed me thoroughly! Not only were the main casts able to remember the lines, all the other pupils are able to sing withoutcues during the musical! The teachers definitely worked their magic on the pupils.

Keagan's first debut in mortar board. He looked sad throughout the certficate presentation probably because he was tired. The kids had been there since 3.30 p.m. to prepare and he had missed his nap due to all the excitement and buzz.

Keagan receiving his graduation certificate from the Minister of Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam. There are 120 graduands and Keagan was the last few who received the certs. Have to give credit to Keagan for sitting through the entire presentation with minimal figeting. This is consider as a major feat for someone who talks non-stop from Jurong West to Bishan and Bishan back to Jurong West :P

Keagan made his second appearance in his tailor-made purple vest! He looked princely :D

Keagan's Adult Tooth

Discovered Keagan's new tooth by chance and was amazed by the size of it. Keagan was brave throughout the dental treatment - no whinning, no tears. So proud of him :D.

The dentist gave him one jab and used forcep to extract his two milk teeth which are in the way. Result: He looks cute though diction is not that clear with occasional lisping :P

Kaelyn is ONE!!!! Did not have any elaborate celebration like Keagan's but of course she still gets her yummy cake. How time flies!

Learning to Climb Down the Bed

Milestone @ 11 mth and 1 week!!!

Princess Kaelyn has tried to climb/slide down the bed/table on a number of occassions - Exhilarating to watch! No pix though but I'm still trying hard.

A description on what this cutsy pie will do: She will crawl near to the side of the bed, put one of her legs over the edge and slide down! Of cos, before she does that, she will test water first - until she's sure/comfortable then she will slide down. Haha.. at least she's not the impulsive type. She also develops the tendency to bite others - fav spots will be the back (when she crawls onto your back) and your hands - she'll grab and bite! Painful but we still find it amusing.

Brought them to watch the SSO performance @ Botanic Garden - Kidz have a fun time dancing and eating. Did not expect the crowd though - know that we have to turn up earlier next time.

Swimming with my Kiddos

Brought Keagan and Kaelyn for a swim all by myself! This is Kaelyn's 2nd trip to the swimming pool. She is taking a liking to water - from the way she pats the wet floor whenever I bathe her and trying to reach for the running tap, sinking her feet into the sink filled with water - Yup pattern more than adminton :D

Bought Keagan this brain training set. He enjoys the puzzle and is engaged. It is supposed to help him in his concentration as well.

Jurong Bird Park

Kaelyn's first trip to Juring Bird Park. Think she enjoyed the trip from the way she looked at the birds. Keagan and I enjoyed the trip too however Papa fell sick midway and we had to leave earlier than planned.

Keagan was pleased that he had the first carriage all for himself. We discovered that the monotrail is on pilot's mode (automatic) throughout the ride.
The bird looks harmless even dull and boring so I egged Keagan on to get closer to the 'duck'. Keagan approached the 'duck' slowly only to have the it chased after him with beak opened and in 'attack' mode. Thank god Keagan ran away fast enough if not he'll definitely have blue black marks pn his leg/butt for that is no ordinary duck but the Egyptian goose!

How the Giraffe got it's neck?

Brought sonny for a play - How the giraffe got it's neck? - at the black box. It was an enjoyable play and we both were amazed by the way the two 'storytellers' were able to carry out the entire play without much prop and of coz just by only the two of them... Besides Baby Promp...this is the first real preschool play that sonny and I attended.

After the play, we went to tcc and drink my fav azuki coffee cooler ..really yummy and a clever combi of bitter coffee with sweet choco chips and my fav red beans...yummy!!! Keagan shared a choco cake (Devil Devotion) with me and ended up with dirty mouth...again....he always has leftover around his mouth if the food tastes exceptionally good... guess that's how he rate his food? More leftover ard his mouth, the better the food tastes?

This pix was taken when she was slightly b4 7 mth old. Thought that we do not have to bring the pram around too much now that she can sit up on her own but alas my daughter simply loves to see what goes on on our table and will brawl and cry till she's out of the chair. Think the novelty of sitting in a baby chair wears off for her pretty fast and she prefers real action, like patting our table, grabbing anything within her reach, grabbing your hand so that she can guide the food in your hand to her mouth! She's definitely inquisitive and eager to try our food (evident from her drool...haha...she's teething la)



Milestone check at 7 mth old: Princess Kaelyn learning to crawl by getting her rear end into action :P We can definitely expect more action from her. This is also the first singlet that Mummy bought for her..lots of heart shaped prints and a pretty ribbon at the back! Haha... I simply love to dress her up....The joy of having a daughter and shopping!
